Christopher Michael Mumford, 41, sped away from police who attempted to stop him near Lititz Pike and West Woods Drive in Warwick Township just before 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police said.

Mumford, of Lebanon, then headed north on Lititz Pike after trying to flee east on West Woods Drive, using a resident’s yard to turn around and causing damage in the process, police said.

County Police ended the chase for safety reasons before Mumford was stopped and identified by the Lebanon City Police Department a short time later, authorities said.

Mumford was arrested and charged with felony eluding, as well as driving with a suspended license due to DUI, violation of the uniform firearms act, and other traffic offenses.
